There was so much that I could have done...

But...

I so totally love the Sea. For someone who can not swim and probably never will manage to get it right, I tend to be a bit surprised at how much I love getting on to the water.

So when J mentioned that he was going to go to Elephanta to check out the facilities for a GB outing there, I pretty much insisted that I go with him. So what if I had been there just a couple of weeks back. Who knows I may never get a chance again.

The weather is amazing right now. Sunday was a perfect Bombay Winter morning and I could not wait to get out onto the "sea".

Like the Rajasthani couple and the bunch of Haryanvi boys (one of whom had the audacity to call me Uncle) I was as thrilled to step on board and stare out into the blue (dark grey with a tinge of toxic green) waters.

Did the absolutely touristy thing and took the toy train from the jetty to the base of the hill. At one point I wondered whether the 2 x 2 concept worked out here as well.

Managed to see the Caves and the statues this time (had missed that when I had gone on the Hash Run last month).

Got back late in the afternoon and just about managed to make it in time for the meeting in Dadar. Nothing illicit or even mildly salacious, but with 21st March looming large on the horizon the meeting to finalize the programme and the pre-event competitions are already starting. Listing out possible sponsors and seeing how we can entice them into shelling out some hefty sums for the Fund Raiser were high on last evenings agenda.

Which is why I ended up empty handed for Dinner last night. We have this 'once every couple of weeks' absolutely mad Game sessions with a few of the guys I knew from school and a bunch of others from the colony that I am getting to know well only now.

Balderdash is normally the first game on the agenda. More than all that I studied for my TOEFL, have I learnt by playing this game. For instance does anyone who has not played the game know what a shaganappi is or for that matter what or who a mumblecrust is? Crazy Stupid and loads of fun.

Normally the set ritual is that I bring the dessert, but since the plans were made only on Saturday night and I was out all of Sunday I went there with only my appetite. Next weekend is at my place - already I am checking out the whole menu. A Chicken and Pasta Salad, A Roast and a Fresh Strawberry Dessert are waiting to be made.

Got home close to 11 and realised that I had still to finish the press-release for the Dog Show. So sat and did that off.

And oh yes at some point when I came home to change I was channel surfing and managed to grab a few moments of one of my favourite movies. The Subject was Roses. Martin Sheen stunning as ever.

Need to check the schedules out for the repeat telecast. Reliving the Sterling Matinee habit is such an absolute delight.

Making a commitment to causes other than your own personal gratification. At some point you realise that you need to do something for others in order to make your own life complete.

I LOVE game night. Sadly my attempts at starting something like this with my friends have all failed. No one wants to do any sort of thinking anymore I suppose.

How old do you have to be to join in on game night? And is it all "fabulous" people?

VIKSY: Games (and I do refer to the ones played OUTSIDE the BEDROOM) for "fabulous" people means Truth or Dare, and if Umang is around Antakshari.

As I said darling a couple of the guys were in school with me so that gives you a rough idea of how old you need to be for these sessions.

Perhaps we can try and get something organised for a fab game night - two down lets find about six more.

IZZY: I thought you were aware of that and in any case two floors do NOT add up to six degrees.
